Fees & Advice

One of the reasons we decided to set up a brokerage independent of corporate companies, was to be able to have the flexibility to concentrate on our clients rather than endless meetings and filling in of pointless spreadsheets. It means we can now make sure we are available to quickly respond to your emails and return any calls, if you are unable to get hold of us on the phone immediately we always aim to return your calls the same business day.

There is no charge for protection advice. The fee for mortgage advice is a fixed fee of £399. Any fee will not be payable until we have secured you a mortgage offer.

We receive a payment from the lender and/or insurance company for any business we place with them. We will always be open and honest about this payment and how much we expect it to be.

As an employed mortgage broker, Angela was only able to research from a restricted number of lenders, this meant that clients were only provided with the best deal from that panel. We are now able to research products from a comprehensive range of products (not including the very few lenders that will only accept business direct from the client) which means Angela can give full advice and research the most appropriate mortgage product available for you as a client

 

Mortgage Consultation

A consultation can be carried out either by phone or virtual meeting online, the choice is yours to make. In addition, you can choose the time and day around your own working hours and your family.

During the meeting, Angela will carry out a full “fact find” this means asking you lots of questions, getting to know you and what’s important to you and your family and your financial situation. Once Angela has a full understanding of what you need she will spend time researching the market and then get back in touch with her recommendations. If you are happy to proceed, we will prepare an application for you and submit it to the lender on your behalf .

Once your application is submitted we will keep in touch with the lender to ensure a quick turnaround of your application and deal with any queries the lender may have as they arise. We will contact you regularly with an update.

The next stage will be a mortgage offer, once we have checked this is all correct, we will keep in touch with yourself and the lender until the point the money is released.

 

Protection Consultation

Protecting yourself and your family financially against the impact of a serious illness or an untimely death is extremely important and often not taken seriously enough. Statistics show that most families have insufficient cover and a large amount have none at all! The main reason for this area being ignored is often cost.

We work hard with you to find a balance between providing adequate cover to protect your family at a cost that you are not going to resent and that is manageable.

A “fact find” is carried out in line with a mortgage consultation or independently. Again, we want to find out more about what is important to you and what financial position you would be in if something did go wrong, what risk you are comfortable with and what budget you are prepared to contribute to rectifying any shortfalls. Once we have a full understanding of this, Angela will make recommendations to you.

If you decide to proceed further, we will go through the applications with you and, once again, we will monitor the application with the insurer and keep you informed of the outcome. Once the application has been accepted we will discuss when you want this put in place. There is no fee for a protection consultation.
